You were beginning to feel bad for Chica as she was slowly slipping into a depression from her pizza loss. Being the kind-hearted person that you were, you used a bit of your pay check to run to the store and pick up a frozen pizza.

Granted, it wasn’t as good as a fresh one, but you couldn’t make a pizza without turning it to an instant slab of charcoal.

On your way back from the store, you noticed a truck – you recognized immediately to belong to Mr. Cawthon – sitting in the lot of said children’s restaurant.

Curiously, you pulled in. You hadn’t talk to him in a while and wanted to know how he was holding up since the discovery of his son’s reappearance.

Parking your car in your usual space, you walked up to the double glass door for another countless time and stepped through. The lack of maintenance was talking a toll on the building as you noticed it for the first time in daylight. The once sparkling doors were dull with dust and grime.

Inside Mr. Cawthon was standing near Pirate Cove putting together what looked like…..an animatronic endoskeleton?

“Mr. Cawthon?” You spoke up standing awkwardly by the front desk.

He looked up suddenly. “Ah! ___!” He smiled a half smile. “Nice to see you again.”

You nodded in agreement with the same smile and walked up toward him.

“I noticed your car parked out front and wanted to see how you were doing.”

He nodded. “The wife and I’s still talking it pretty hard. James was a good boy.”

You mentally snorted. Yeah right. Instead you glanced down at the floor in pretend sorrow.
He looked as though he were about to cry and in a hurry you changed the subject.

“So what are you working on her, sir?”

He brightened up slightly. “This here’s going to be the new addition to the Fazbear crew!” he said proudly showing off the still unfinished endoskeleton.

Wires of assorted colors clung to the metal frame like a destroyed and mangled spider web. The main shape looked something of like a dog.

Mr. Cawthon stepped up and walked over to the west hallway were you just noticed an empty suit lay slumped against the corner as if unconscious. He dragged the lump of faux fur until it was sitting facing you leaning up against his leg.

“___, meet Hannah the Hyena!”

It was in fact a dog suit – or as you now learned hyena. The fur a light beige with even lighter underbelly. The arms, from the elbow down, were a dark brown, as for the tip of the tail which was slightly hidden under the body. Deep grayish-brown spots speckled along the flank in no particular pattern and a light blue scarf with white polka-dots hung limp along its shoulder. The body was slimmer than the other animatronics’ but bulky enough to fit the endoskeleton.

“What do ya think?” he looked at you expectantly, hoping for a positive.

You nodded, quite impressed. “Yeah, she looks really cool!” you answered honestly. “Did you come up with the design yourself?”

He grinned proudly. “Yep, I did! A little help from the wife, though. She added the scarf.” He said motioning to the small piece of fabric.

You chuckled before nodding again, glancing over his handiwork again. “But may I ask sir, why are you building her now? I mean, the restaurant’s closed so….”

He sighed. “Well she was an idea that I came up with long ago and never got around to building her. And since James’ passing, I never wanted to do anything more with this restaurant. But I was thinking over the past many months how this place was my life and where my money comes from. And if it remains closed, I’m gonna have to get a new moneymaker. So, I’m building Hannah here as a new attraction and I’m opening this place back up.”

You nodded once again, not really knowing what to say. When you didn’t answer, he continued.
“She’s gonna be…..kinda like a sidekick to Foxy……living at the Pirates Cove.”

“Hm. That’ll be cool.” You said, looking back toward the large, purple curtain, then casting a glance at the stage full of colorful animals that you find to be family. Their eyes were blank, and lifeless as they usually were when daylight was dominant.

“I think it’s time for a new beginning.” He stated, causing you to turn back, staring confused.
He was already staring at you as you looked back at him. he wore a smile, but you could tell immediately that it wasn’t one of his usual happy grins. This smile was small, almost unnoticeable. And his eyes matched it with…..sadness and sorrow?

Without another word, he slid the hollow suit back until it was leaning against the front desk and began to work on the machine that would rest inside the suit once more.

Taking that as your signal to leave and remembering that you still had a frozen pizza in your car, waiting to regain its frozen quality, you said your goodbyes to Mr. Cawthon and exited the building and headed home to start to get some sleep and get ready for the night shift.

“Chica!” You called out to the chicken who was wallowing on the floor by the wall. She looked up at you with weak eyes the way a lazy teenage would when they didn’t want to be bothered. You held up the small box, making sure the large red “PIZZA” was in her line of sight and she instantly shot up to her feet, her eyes illuminating brightly again. She rushed up to you and grabbed the box from your hand with one feathered paw while trying to give you a half hug with the other, all while shouting ‘thank yous’ in your ear.

It was a very unbalancing hug and when she let go, she left you staggering. She rushed over to a booth and began devouring the pizza in inhumanly bites.

Freddy stepped up glowering at the chicken. “Really, Chica? She just got you that pizza and you would even offer to share?”

Chica paused and stared at him with a wad of stringy cheese hanging from her beak before she comprehended what he was saying. Upon realizing, she looked to you and offered you a spice by holding one up for you to grab, considering her mouth was incapable of asking with food stuffed and dripping from it. You politely declined and she continued the destruction of the greasy food.

Freddy shook his head in disappointment before turning back to you with a smile. “So what’s this about a new member of the gang?”

“You all heard that, huh?” You smiled. Bonnie and Foxy appeared around and nodded, Chica remained oblivious.

“Well, Foxy’s getting a new member to the Pirates Crew.” You began, looking over at the pirate. “I guess a ‘first mate’ sort of deal.” You shrugged.

“Well it’s about time.” He grumbled. “I’ve been alone since….” He trailed off, his one visible eye cast down to the floor.

“Since what, Foxy?” you stared at him. He had that same look in his eyes as Chica when she trailed off, remembering something that had happened in the past. A pained look of sorrow and remorse.

When he gave no reply, you let out a sudden cry of annoyance and frustration which in turn startled the four.

“I have had enough with being in the dark lately!” you pronounced each word slowly, proving your point. “I want to know what’s going on!........Don’t you trust me?” The question was meant toward the all four but your gaze was focused on Freddy.

“Of course we do.” Freddy spoke sternly. “It’s just that we wouldn’t want you to get overwhelmed. If I remember correctly, you didn’t take it so well when you first met us after hours.”

You cocked you head, not knowing what he was saying.

“You fainted.” Bonnie put in bluntly.

“……Oh yeah.” You chuckled. “But I need to know. Maybe I can help somehow.”

Freddy shook his head slowly. “You can’t.”

“Just…..just, please? Please tell me?” You were desperate at this point. Desperate to know what was ailing your friends.

The four robots looked amongst each other, silently debating on whether or not to give into your pleas.

After moments of silence, Freddy turned back to you. “Very well.”

After ages of stories that you were finding it hard to comprehend, they finally finished. You sat taking in all this new information. All four of them were at one point children, that were lead into a room, the costume room, by a man whom killed them and their spirits haunted the suits, unable to escape from each of their own personal tombs. They also added how to the one that murdered them was still free as far as they know.

“But even though we’re dead, it feels as though our spirits are aging with the suits. Like these bodies are our real bodies that age.” Chica had added. “Does that make any sense?”

You blinked at her. “Not a bit.”

She shrugged and glanced away.

“Okay.” You began by taking a deep breath. “So how does all of this have to do with the basement?”

“There was……is…..a being that does live in the basement. The one that gave us this new life. She fused our human bodies with these suits and in turn, our souls took new life in the suits.”

“Who is she?” you glanced around at them all.

“The owner…..calls her….the Marionette. Mainly, because she does look like one.” Freddy talked low, occasionally glancing towards the accursed door. “She used to be a mother who never paid attention to her child. Well her child got kidnapped and was later found dead, and she unknowingly transformed into her current form over time, giving life and a second chance to those who have died in her presents.”

You didn’t know what to say anymore. As much as you could think, all your questions were answered. The only thing was your curiosity to see this new marionette being but something told Freddy wouldn’t be too thrilled of the introduction.

A short silence took hold of the room until Chica spoke up.

“___?”

You looked over at her. “Yeah?”

“…………Could you please get another pizza?”
Surprise! It's the Marionette!
I just went with the theories that I heard about Freddy and the gang getting trapped in the suits as kids. That's what I'm following so I don't want to hear anything about it being wrong or anything! Same with the Marionette. I don't know if she's really a girl I just went off of The Living Tombstone's video for FNaF 2.

Actually, I'm thinking that maybe there will be one or two more chapters left in this story. I haven't decided yet, but I feel like it will be drawing to a close here soon.

Is it just me... Or do I hate when people add their OC or other people's OC in the book. In my opinion, it adds more characters to focus on, causing confusion and ruin the plot and the lore.
